Involvement
At Atlantic Trash, we believe that a strong community is the cornerstone of a sustainable future. Our commitment to community involvement goes beyond providing exceptional waste management services.
We are proud to partner with I.CARE, an organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of coral reefs. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to environmental stewardship and our belief in the importance of protecting marine ecosystems.
About I.CARE
I.CARE is non-profit organization dedicated to restoring Islamorada’s coral reef. I.CARE is taking a community-based approach to restore the coral reefs by training recreational divers to help transplant and monitor corals in order to help restore our precious reefs!

I.CARE Trash Derby
The Trash Derby is a massive Ocean clean-up that uses volunteers to clean up by diving, land & shore, or boat. We (Atlantic Trash) provided containers throughout the Florida Keys for them to use for all the debris they cleaned up out of the ocean and on the shorelines. We also hauled and disposed of the debris.
To help reduce the amount of debris impacting our islands, I.CARE is hosting their second annual Trash Derby. I.CARE is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to incorporating recreational divers in activities to restore the coral reefs of the Florida Keys. In their first 2 years, I.CARE has transplanted over 15,000 corals of varying species and educated over 2,500 participants about the importance of coral reef communities. This event not only serves as a way to help clean our seas, it is also a fundraiser to help I.CARE continue its work on our reefs.
